The design concept of the Chizhou Urban Relief Sculpture Group centers on “Millennium Chizhou: Mountains, Waters, Humanities”. Through a series of themed reliefs, it systematically displays the historical context, regional culture and urban spirit of Chizhou. Drawing on natural landscapes such as Jiuhua Mountain, Pingtian Lake and Qiupu River, it reflects the local ecological concept of the symbiosis of mountains, waters and the city. It also integrates cultural elements including poems by literati, Nuo Opera as an intangible cultural heritage and trade along the Maritime Silk Road, inheriting the cultural heritage of Chizhou as a famous poetic land and southern commercial port. In addition, it incorporates modern images and urban development symbols to show the open and innovative spirit of the city, and creates an accessible public cultural space along urban roads to enable citizens and visitors to perceive the cultural memory of Chizhou in daily life.
