Gao Xiaowu expands the boundaries of contemporary sculpture and public art with his philosophies of “Living in the Moment” and “Art for the People”. His works are collected by institutions like Australia’s White Rabbit Gallery and Russia’s Ekaterina Cultural Foundation, installed in public spaces including Beijing Parkview Green FangCaoDi, Shanghai K11 Art Mall and Singapore Changi Airport, and featured in international events such as the 54th Venice Biennale Parallel Exhibition and Art Singapore.

His works were selected for the 9th National Fine Arts Exhibition in 1999. He won the Hurun Special Contribution Award for Contemporary Art in 2014, served as Cultural and Art Ambassador of the Singapore International Chinese Cultural Week in 2016, and was named Artist of the Year by Robb Report, as well as Person of the Year and Trailblazer of the Year by Home Journal, gaining recognition from both the industry and the public.
