Jinsong Shi is one of the representative artists in the field of contemporary Chinese sculpture and installation art. Renowned for his cross-media practice, his creations span sculpture, installation, video and conceptual design. Through the interdisciplinary exploration of metal, dead wood and mixed media, he has developed a distinct style characterized by sophisticated craftsmanship and profound contemporary concepts, focusing on the reflection of individual living conditions, the translation of cultural symbols and the contemplation of social order.
His works are widely collected by domestic and international prestigious art institutions including M+ Museum, Groninger Museum, White Rabbit Gallery, Today Art Museum and Yu Art Museum, as well as major foundations such as LVMH Foundation, UBS Foundation and Dubai Crown Prince Foundation, along with private collectors like the Saatchi Collection. He was nominated for the Artist of the Year at the Chinese Contemporary Art Award (CCAA). His artistic creation has received special support from art funds on multiple occasions.
