A cross-disciplinary artist and pioneering designer whose practice spans contemporary sculpture, conceptual art, product design, and socially innovative design. He graduated from the Sculpture Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2002, and co-founded the UNMASK Art Group with Tan Tianwei and Liu Zhan the same year. Based in Beijing as an independent artist from 2002 to 2020, he now lives and works in New York. His works have been exhibited and collected by institutions including the National Art Museum of China, Österreichische Galerie Belvedere, Victoria and Albert Museum, and M+ Museum. He is the recipient of awards such as the Grand Sculpture Prize at the 2nd Nanjing Triennial, AAC Art China Young Artist of the Year, and DFA Design for Asia Award.
