Pomegranate Pavilion | Parametric Public Art Installation

Artist: Zhang Chaozhong | Fabrication & Installation: ODE

Located in urban public park space, Pomegranate Pavilion was designed by Zhang Chaozhong, with fabrication and installation completed by ODE.

Inspired by the symbolic pomegranate form, the sculpture adopts parametric modeling logic to generate organic curved shell structure. The hollowout permeable enclosure creates an accessible, inhabitable public space, balancing sculptural monumentality with light visual transparency. The red translucent skin interacts with lighting at night, interpreting the cultural connotation of unity and coexistence within the urban context.

ODE undertook detailed design refinement, component production and onsite assembly, translating the artist’s conceptual vision into a permanent immersive public art landmark.
