Forest Deep

Forest Deep

Public Art | Layered Spatial Installation | Urban Metro Mural

Forest Deep, Deer Appear | Design: CAPA | Fabrication & Realization: ODE

This public art mural for the Beijing Metro is composed of three independently spaced layers of glass, creating a sense of depth and visual perspective. The layered imagery of forest and deer introduces a natural atmosphere into the urban transit environment.

For public art projects of this nature, the journey from concept to final realization often requires continuous testing and refinement. To achieve the intended spatial depth and visual experience, ODE conducted multiple rounds of prototyping and material experiments, repeatedly evaluating image layering, glass spacing, and viewing perspectives. Through an iterative process of adjustment and optimization, the final visual effect gradually took shape.

The completed work creates a rich sense of depth between the glass layers, allowing the static imagery to subtly transform as viewers move through the space.

Through layered glass imagery and spatial depth, the work integrates natural landscapes into the urban transportation environment, forming an urban metro mural that balances artistic expression with public engagement.
