Suspended above the mirrored water in Wuhan Liantou Floating Art Museum, designed by YUSTUDIO, this ancient architectural sculpture stands as the museum’s iconic centerpiece. Conceived by artist Liu Feng, it takes traditional Chinese pavilion structures as its creative prototype and is crafted from metallic mesh with a translucent texture. The floating structural design and reflective effects of the mirrored pool combine to create a breathtaking “castle in the air” visual, embodying the museum’s core theme of Dreams of a Floating Life. Our team was fully responsible for the sculpture’s detailed design development, precision fabrication of the metallic mesh structure, assembly and debugging of all components, as well as the accurate on-site installation and commissioning.
